Hi, I’ve taken up photography as a hobby so I need to sharpen my skill using photoshop and other graphic editing software, could someone advice me on where I could go for some lessons?

Here is a web tv channel that focuses on PhotoShop and Illustrator. Much of it pertains to drawing and art but there are also some episodes on retouching. Also, check out the episodes on Lightroom. It’s an Adobe photo editor specifically geared to photographers and their issues.

I’ve found a few tutorials, but they seem really complex and I’ve found a website that looks easy, but you have to pay to use it. I don’t want either of those, please help!

Sorry to admit this to you, but not everything’s easy in photoshop, I learned that the hard way, I would recommend following your favorite tutorial to the best of your abilities.

I just purchase photo shop pro x2 software and don’t know how to uses it, Anyone out there that have taken on line training courses for photo shop pro x2.

I have photoshop 6.0, and I’m trying to load the styles, so i put it in the presents/styles folder, but it doesn’t show up in the photoshop styles, how do you do it?

Did you restarted Photoshop? It wont show before you do. And if you did, it might not be styles compatible with your version (in that case, you should see a warning note). If you are sure these are your version styles, try to restart and then, if you still can’t see it, try to load (press a little arrow in the right corner of styles, choose "load styles", select one of the new ones and click ok). If it load, ok, if you get a error message, it’s not for your version. If nothing happens, then something is wrong…maybe style file is corrupted.

can u advice me with a site to download some lessons for free,i’m really clueless about the filters in Cs3.please help me with a useful link.thnx.

They are videos, so they are much easier to follow than the usual text instructions that you have to read through as they "show" you how to use the software.

I have just downloaded a font off of the internet and it is in a zipped file. How do I get it from that font into photoshop or word?

You have to install the font on your computer. Once installed, it will show up in photoshop. Before you can install it, you need to unzip it. Windows comes with a utility to extract zip files. Simply right click it, and hit extract all. Now, to install a font, go to Start->Control Panel->Fonts->File->Install New Font. Now, browse for the font file, select it, and hit OK to install it. Now, restart photoshop, and the new font should show up.

Can someone give me a site to learn how to use photoshop? im a starter… as in duno much about it but i want to add some special effects into my pictures.

If you go to the help menu in PS and open up the help contents, that’s the best.

You said you want to add effects, open up a picture, go to the filter menu, and choose a filter, they have very cool effects! If you don’t like it, just undo it.
