How can I get flame effect, brushes or styles in Photoshop?
I’m trying to get some flames "painted" on a .gif of a car.
Like a 50’s hot rod flames patern. How can I do that? Is it done with brusheds, styles, effects, filters?
Where can I download what is needed to do this?
Thanks,
Bruno

Can anyone give me a quick lesson in Photoshop?
I have an existing photo that I need to cut out the main image so that it can be on a white background. What is the best way to do this. Thanks
Here are a couple options:
- Make a quick mask, invert the image and delete the background.
- For a more precise cut out, use the pen tool and make a clipping path.
- Use the magic wand to select the background and delete the background.
- Use the eraser tool to delete the background.
The method will depend on what the object is, how precise you want the cut out to be and how much time you want to spend on it.
Anyone know how to install chinese font into a pc so that can be used in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator?
I need to type beautiful chinese font type for my artwork and I used Photoshop and Illustrator and I already install chinese fonts (downloaded from Internet) into my Fonts folder. But I cldn’t use any chinese fonts in my Photoshop or Illustrator. It seems that the Adobe cldn’t detect the chinese fonts. Anyone can help me on this matter? I already change my keyboard IME to CH Pinyin but still cldn’t use the fonts that I’d downloaded.

What would be the best way for me to study photo shop?
I would like to use photo shop for the purposes of digital art and illustration. First, though, I would like to read a book or take a course on photo shop for beginners as to learn how to use the program. Are there any books or online courses/tutorials that anyone recommends that will allow me to really understand and use photo shop?
Thanks!
Jeremiah,
A class is an excellent choice, but do lots of experimentation while you’re waiting -sometimes that gets the best results. The most interesting projects in my classes were the ones that used the most techniques that weren’t taught in class. Try all the buttons to see what effect they have on your art.
