Im using adobe photoshop cs3 for editing my photos, but i need to add text to one of my pictures, and even when the size of the font is set at 72 pt, it looks even smaller than the font im typing with right now!

Anyone know why, and how i can fix it? It seems like ive tried everything.

Definitely an image size problem – your resolution is TOO LOW…

Go to the Image pulldown menu –> Image Size. Under Document Size, the resolution should be set to at least 72 pixels/inch. If it is set to something like 3 pixels/inch, unclick at the very bottom where it says Resample Image and type 72 into the pixels/inch.

When you do this, Photoshop will automatically scale the font size to keep it looking the way it was, so just go back to your type layer and reset the size.

I want to give my photos this effect that looks like a transparent sheet or glass line or wave. it looks like the logo on this site. http://www.consolespot.net/psp-themes/ the logo has two of these (not the logos) Is there a filter or a program that can do this. I already found a tutorial (smooth wave tutorial) thats not it. There has to be a way to do this. can anyone tell me multiple options? Thanks!

Does any one know how to do one of those Obama Hope style pics in Photoshop but with mexican colors instead?I want to do this so I can put a picture of me on myspace Obama style but with Mexican colors instead.If anyone does thi I would really appreciate it

The filters in Photoshop don’t do justice to that style of illustration. The easiest (and best) way to quickly achieve the effect is to "Obama-ize" yourself at http://obamiconme.pastemagazine.com/ then open the image you create in Photoshop and change the colors.

All you have to do is use the magic wand tool ( parameters set to 12 tolerance, anti-alised, and NOT contiguous) and replace the colors with a fill.

I’ve volunteered to teach an evening class (more like a workshop really, only one session) on beginning to intermediate Photoshop at my local library. I’ve never taught a class before and I’m not really certain where to begin. I am currently writing my lesson plan and can’t quite discern what topics to cover, to what extent, and in what order.

Can anyone give me some advice on how to go about this? Has anyone here taught a class such as this one before, or taken one that was particularly effective?

well start with the basics (moving picture scaling and deleting parts with the magic wand) the go to slightly more advanced (dodging, burning,smuging) then move to the hard stuff (liquidfying, magnet colors, ect)

For example I want text written like this on the computer to look it has been written by a person using a pen or marker.

In other words make computer font look like human written font.

I just got adobe photoshop 7.0 but I am finding it hard to work with,anybody know of a free tutorial on how to use it?

Do a google search for it. Just make sure you type it in exactly as below with the quotation marks.
