How to disconnect layer styles in photoshop?
I draw a rectangle on a layer, i copied this layer, then i applied a drop shadow on the first layer, and I copied the layer style to the second one. Then i tried to change the angle of the drop shadow on the second layer, but both layer styles change together. So If i change the angle on one, another changes too. I cannot mirror the drop shadow. I tried to rename the layers, put them in different groups, but nothing help. Do you know how to stop them change together?
In the drop shadow section uncheck "use global light" This will add a drop shadow to only the layer you are working on
Hope this helps
Why doesnt the font on adobe photoshop elements 8 get bigger?
Its way too small and its already set to 72. Its even smaller than this. Why? Is there a way to make the font even bigger?
How big is the image you’re trying to type on? Go to Image>Resize>Image Size and check the size of the image. Sometimes the images we download from our cameras are huge with low resolution. To change this:
1. In the Resize dialogue: UNcheck "Resample Image" and change the Resolution to 300. Re-check "Resample Image" (Bicubic should be in the "box" next to it) and, making sure "Constrain Proportions" is CHECKED, resize to the size you want. (If you want your image to be big and don’t want to resize it, see the NOTE at the end of this.)
2. Edit>Preferences>Units and Rulers. In the top box ("Units") make sure the units for fonts are "Points".
NOTE: Sometimes I create a large project and need the font size to be a lot larger than 72. You can click and drag across the number in the font size box up in the Text Tool Options Bar and type in larger numbers if you need to.
