Didn’t get CS3 for RAM problems.
I got the kit from here, it’s a kit for making text bubbles:

Put them into the corresponding folders (I’ve checked).
I also know which file extensions goes where.
Loaded up Photoshop only to see that the custom shapes are not there! The defaults were there but the ones I’ve put in is no where.
What was the problem?
Better if you could recommend a program that can put text bubbles (both thought and speech) into pictures and then saving it into the same format.
Or you could give me a how-to make a speech/thought bubble guide.
Or you could give me your own custom shapes.
Please! I need this for my blog!

It sounds like you may need to call the software company, And possibly even your computer manufacturer that is what I would suggest and do it ASAP i hope you didn’t pick up any worms or viruses with the download

best way to cut image way photoshop? other than lesson and magic wand?
you know when you want to cut part of image or photo.. like some one face or body or shape .. and have extra parts you dont want..

what can i do to cut with easy ? .. or maybe afterwards to remove what i dont want.. and not hurt the part i want to add to other image design?

i downloaded some glitter styles online and put them went into presets, then put them into the styles subfolder like the instructions told me to, but i can’t seem to find them anywhere when i’m working. where do they show up and how do i use them?

Styles are a little more complicated to install. It’s only nerve-wracking the first two times you install them but they are such great add-ons that it’s worth the trouble. I have tons of them;-) I can’t give you instructions without knowing your operating system except to say that they are installed in the Program Data not the Program Files. The pathway in Vista is: Computer>C:>Program Data>Adobe>Photoshop Elements>6.0>Locale>en_us>Photo Creations>Layer Styles. Then to make the styles show up in the list in the Effects Palette>Styles, you have to make a little xml file – it’s not as hard as it sounds. Like I said I was a little (OK, a lot) nervous the first couple of times I did it because it seems complicated and I didn’t know what I was doing. The path for the xml file is the same except instead of >Photo Creations> you expand >Photo Creations Metadata>Layer Styles.

Double check and make sure that you are on the correct layer. In your window options, check layers, and click on the layer with the text. Then try highlighting it and see what happens

I’ve downloaded heaps on font facts, but none contain helvetica. Help please

The actual real Helvetica font is not free, and you’ll have to pay for it.

Try and find a rip off helvetica…or try and see if your school has it and take it from there…or if somebody else has it and is willing to share. I don’t know whereabouts to download it from though.

I have a pic of my dad and me and i want to switch the face to my sisters, i tried a tutorial on the internet, but when it came to the ‘Layer Mask’ part, my photoshop didn’t have it and i realized i was using the wrong version. How can i do it on 2.0? step by step instructions or a tutorial for the 2.0 elements version would be fantastic thanks

I think you’ll be a bit out of luck if you want to use Photoshop 2.0, since it’s a bit outdated. Luckily, you can use GIMP http://www.gimp.org/

It’s a freeware, so no money neeeded to download it, and it’s quite powerful.

Sometimes a client has a strong story but they don’t know exactly what they want for the visual look of their game or movie. Enter the ChanMan.

In this video we see him go through a broad range of stylistic iterations based on the same lead male character. The client can then use these ideas and move forward with a much clearer visual direction. This gets to the heart of concept art, and the more an artist is able to work in a variety of different styles the more he/she will be able to help a client, and get paid, and then have kids, or maybe a fast car.
