It's only nerve-wracking the first two times you install them but they are such great add-ons that it's worth the trouble. I have tons of them;-) I can't give you instructions without knowing your operating system except to say that they are installed in the Program Data not the Program Files. The pathway in Vista is: Computer>C:>Program Data>Adobe>Photoshop Elements>6.0>Locale>en_us>Photo Creations>Layer Styles. Then to make the styles show up in the list in the Effects Palette>Styles, you have to make a little xml file - it's not as hard as it sounds. Like I said I was a little (OK, a lot) nervous the first couple of times I did it because it seems complicated and I didn't know what I was doing. The path for the xml file is the same except instead of >Photo Creations> you expand >Photo Creations Metadata>Layer Styles. Here are instructions.
