We have all seen it although maybe a few of us don’t really remember it, it is that cool engraved text effect you see in web 2.0 design, but really the effect can be used all over, in all kinds of web designs from clear simple designs to much more intricate designs. Learn a few basic things like setting text and applying some simple, yet useful, Layer Styles to text.

Create a Metallic Gear Logo! Photoshop CS4 Tutorial

We will start with nothing and create this cool gear and style it with a cool texture and make is almost look 3D! Then by placing a “floor” underneath the gear shape logo we give the illusion of 3D. Photoshop CS4 Tutorial: The Lomo Effect + More!

Here again we have a video of one of the tutorials in the June-July 09 newsletter! Using Photoshop we will create a very editable Lomography effect also known as the “Lomo Effect”. Using Blend Modes and Adjustments Layers we achieve a pretty cool effect that can be used on all kinds of Photography! After creating the effect we will take a quick minute and create a simple action so we can test this effect out on a photo by simply clicking a button!

The reason why I chose to do another Navi tutorial is because so many people complained about the Angelina Jolie one. The eyes on Jessica Alba looked a little dopey, so I end up changing them at the very end of part 4, so be sure to watch this to the end.
